He sure did... Texas Tech University
2. Father finished college?
He did! It took him FOREVER, but he did it.
3. Mother went to college?
She went to Texas Tech as well.
4. Mother finished college?
Way before my dad did... and now her occupation has nothing to do with her degree.
5. Have any relative who is an attorney, physician, or professor?
I have a great-aunt who used to be a business professor, but otherwise... it's me!
6. Were you the same or higher class than your high school teachers?
Lubbock has all kinds... I didn't really notice a big difference.
7. Had more than 50 books in your childhood home?
Of course! My mom and I love to read.

Probably not this many, but pretty darn close.
9. Were you read children’s books by a parent?
Yes. My mom and dad both read to me... usually I was put to bed with the Wall Street Journal.

Piano and dance lessons... I'd always wished I would have had drum lessons!

See above!
12. The people in the media who dress and talk like me are portrayed positively.
I pride myself on being unique... at least with respect to celebrities and myself.

Nope.

My parents paid for my first year at a private university and then I got to pay for everything else! (read: the remaining 10 years...)

Occasionally they would send spending money, contribute to the sorority costs, but then I was told to "get a job" (sha na na na sha nana na na na)
16. Went to a private high school?
For Kindergarten and first grade... after repeatedly telling my parents I was bored, I was put into public school.
17. Went to summer camp?
Nope. Only if staying at your grandmother's house counts as camp!
18. Had a private tutor before you turned 18?
Nope.
19. Family vacations involved staying at hotels?
Hardly ever! We typically stayed at relatives' houses.
20. Your clothing was all bought new before you turned 18?
I think so... there were occasional hand me downs, but my parents were good about buying us new things.
21. Your parents bought you a car that was not a hand-me-down from them?
I shared a truck with my mom... I bought my own car when I was in grad school.

Not really... more pics of family than anything!

Yes... we have lived in the same house for 29 years now!

Yep.

Once I got older... occasionally my sister and I would share a room.

Yep.

Only w/ books and CD-ROMs that I bought...

Ummm, I don't think so.
29. Owned a mutual fund or IRA in high school or college?
Nope.

Only once w/ my mom to a wedding.
31. Went on a cruise with your family?
Never...
32. Went on more than one cruise with your family?
Nope.
33. Your parents took you to museums and art galleries as you grew up?
Whatever ones were in Lubbock! :)
34. You were unaware of how much heating bills were for your family?
I had no clue! After I moved to PA, I realized how precious electricity actually is!
